Policymakers and practitioners need to navigate, analyse and prioritise a broad range of resources available on building efficiency in order to tailor solutions to their specific local circumstances. However, the proliferation of online resources does not necessarily lead to better decision-making or access to trusted sources upon which decisions can be made. Many resources are offered without clear provenance or transparency on the source, quality or utility of resources.

To address these issues, the Global Buildings Performance Network (GBPN) and a coalition of global cities networks and building sector policy think tanks have come together to create this sustainable buildings policy evidence base with the support of the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF).

The vision is for all cities to have access to high-quality, cutting edge, curated evidence, best practices, insights and policy exemplars to support the decarbonisation of the buildings sector in line with the Paris Agreement.
