A report from the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), commissioned by the GBPN, in collaboration with The China Sustainable Energy Program (CSEP) finds that China is on the right track towards increasing energy efficiency in buildings. However, greater awareness, clearer rules and easier access to domestic financing are necessary to ensure that these efficiency measures are brought to the right scale.

The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) report "Achieving scale in energy-efficient buildings in India: A view from the construction and real estate sectors" commissioned by the GBPN explains the challenges and opportunities of investing in energy efficiency in buildings in India.

Energy use in buildings is responsible for more than 30% of global CO2 emissions and has a significant role to play in climate change mitigation, given  the large  potential  savings in  both new and existing  buildings.
